I have had over 23 years of experience in the disability sector in a variety of government and non-government roles, although that makes me older than I’d like to admit! Having studied psychology up to PhD level, while skillfully avoiding completing a thesis, the majority of my experience has been in the area of positive behaviour support, working to enhance the quality of life of those with behaviours of concern.
I have held key positions within Government and not-for-profit sectors, working across day services and accommodation services as well as concurrently teaching at the tertiary level as a sessional lecturer teaching in the Disability Studies and Education programs at RMIT University for over 17 years. Having worked for Lancaster Consulting Australia since 2015, I am now the Clinical Team Manager and am very happily taking credit for the amazing work the team do, and practising what I preach by carrying a small caseload of clients.
